On the 50th anniversary of the domestic and family violence sector we have asked the Australian public to sign their name to an online pledge declaring their commitment to ending domestic and family violence (DFV). The Pledge provides information and easy to read resources - from understanding and identifying the signs of domestic violence, how to support friends of family experiencing domestic violence through to how to safely intervene in a situation.
The pledge was launched by Domestic Violence NSW and Rosie Batty AO on International Women’s Day, Friday 8 March 2024. Its first signatories included Rosie Batty AO and Hannah Tonkin, NSW Women’s Safety Commissioner.
Materials including social media tiles and posters are available to all our members to help support and promote the pledge in a way that suits their organisation please see here.
